[BOIL] The Dragon Girls’ Nowhere Zone (Ch. 38-40)

Read on Mangadex

Not the thing we wanted to get out by the end of the month, but whatever. This month has been packed for no reason. So check this out: it’s the project we’ve picked up from pyroxenescanning at request of its head! A simple comedy 4koma series featuring your favorite (?) dragon girls from all the best Duel Masters cards.

I was told to wait on releasing this until we had a chance to see what the Youtube anime was about, but it’s all generic filler. Not a lick of comedy, just cute anime girls doing absolutely nothing. As a connoisseur of bad Youtube anime, even I don’t have the spare energy to waste time translating content mill videos. Got better things to do, y’know.

No direct download option because there’s only three chapters; will probably update with a link when there’s more out.

If you notice a sudden change in the lettering, it’s because I tried using primarily Photoshop for this one -w-

The Leg-Selling Hag

The third urban legend! A humble peddler of spare limbs, the Leg-Selling Hag is a fairly well known legend. When she asks “do you need a leg?”, saying either yes or no will damn you in some way. Answering “yes” will give you extra legs, while answering “no” will cause her to take the ones you already have, cutting them off with her scythe (how else do you think she gets that big stock?). The safest answer is to direct her to someone else, who she will find and pose the same question to. Theoretically, it’s possible to skirt the consequences if you have multiple people agree to say “I don’t know, ask X” in a loop. Almost sounds like something from one of my shows… There’s apparently multiple variants of the leg-selling hag, one who sells arms, fingers, eyes, or any other body parts you can think of.

This arc doesn’t revolve around trying to avoid the legend though, Kaiki goes straight for it. He’s a little weirdo. Let’s see how that goes for him!

Fun fact: Rogie uses the personal pronoun あっし (asshi) here, a little pun on the fact that he sells 足 (ashi).

[Joint Release] Inazuma Eleven GO: Saikyou Senshu 100-nin Zukan

A guide book released for Inazuma Eleven: GO that features unique 4-koma for over 100 characters that you can recruit in the game! I did spiff-upping typesetting and QC on this. Senpai really wanted to release it on 12/23 for ichi-ni-ni-san day. The date hasn’t changed where they are, so we made it! Yahoo!

Visit pyroxenescanning’s post for credits and info on how and where to read!

From here on we’ll be translating an arc at time, releasing it once everything’s done. Unsure if we’ll still release those one chapter at a time, or all together.

[BOIL] Inazuma Eleven – Superdimensional Dream Match

Mega DDL

Can’t believe it’s been eight entire years since this originally aired without proper subs. Let’s put the nail in this coffin, eh?

A project that Double and I have wanted to work on for more than a couple of years. RyRo never translated this in full* and the only other “subs” that exist are subpar, so we’ve picked up slack. Get a dose of your favorite experiencing little battlers and soccer players. Credits are kind of complicated for this, read on for more.

Choujigen Dream Match was only ever released on DVD, which means that it’s natively 480p and is not very crisp. Though some may frown at this, we’ve upscaled the video and applied some light filters for our version. The DVD also included a recording of a live stage event, which can be found in the MEGA folder as a raw 480p video.daburuwosagase

Thank you for watching. Stand up stand up 立ち上がリーヨ

daburuwosagase organized the majority of this project, including encoding the best quality video they possible could, getting the base timing for me, marking places to typeset, and translating the IRL theater segments. They also checked and edited my translation for the main episode.

pocketlink (yours truly) translated Choujigen Dream Match as well as “Ouja ni Nare”, the song used for promotion of Inazuma Eleven Online (RIP). Typeset Double’s markers into full signs with love and care. I also made a lot of timing adjustments, did basic cleanup and QC.

*onkeikun kindly provided us her translation of the LBX All Stars Battle she did previously, which I made sure wasn’t messed up from automatic OCR’ing. Splash provided permission to use RyRo’s karaoke styles used in the series recap. Thank you both so much for the release blessing!

QC was kindly done in house by BOIL members nepenthes, garagewolf, and MechaSeraph.
